Vision ,Ambition and Competition

Vision ,Ambition and Competition

What your life is built upon will determine if it will stand or not.
Before you start building you need to sort out the issue of your foundation.

Psalm 11:3 (KJV) If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Vision is the foundation. You cannot afford to miss any part of this series especially as we move into 2025.You and I will make it in Jesus name.

Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

There are three foundations that you can build upon. Only one is real all the others are fake. They are like building on sand.

Lets learn from someone who knows the way. I was fortunate to learn the importance of this foundation over 30 years ago at a church conference that I attended and I am passing an upgraded, improved version

of what I was learnt that changed my life positively to you. Listen.Learn.Implement. Paul moved from Ambition to competition and then discovered VISION. You will discover vision this month.

A.AMBITION : Acts 22:3-10 (KJV) I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I

received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished. And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

Galatians 1:14 (KJV) And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

B.COMPETITION :2 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV) For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

How did he know?

Acts 7:58 (KJV) And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

Acts 8:1-3 (KJV) And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Acts 9:1-6 (KJV) And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

C.VISION AND FULFILLMENT: Galatians 1:12-16 (KJV) For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who

separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Acts 26:12-19 (KJV) Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

2 Timothy 4:6-8 (KJV) For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 1.Vision is different from ambition and competition:

Vision is what God wants you to do. Ambition is what you want to do. Competition is what others have done that you want to do.

Vision is where God wants you to go. Ambition is where you want to go. Competition is where you want to go because others have been there.

Vision is who God wants you to be. Ambition is who you want to be. Competition is who others want you to be.

Vision is what God sees.Ambition is what you see.Competition is what others see.

Vision is God’s dream.Ambition is your dream.Competition is others dream.

Vision is God’s design.Ambition is your design.Competition is others design.

Vision is God. Ambition is from Self.Competition is from others.

Vision is original. Ambition is distraction. Competition is a copy of someone’s original.

Competition leads you to running others races.

Ambition is running your own race.

Vision is running the race God has earmarked for you.

You will never be rewarded for running another man’s race.

You will never be rewarded for running your own selfish race.

You will only be rewarded for running and completing the race God has earmarked for you.

This is the only path that will lead to true fulfillment.

I have a message for someone here today: Acts 9:5 (KJV) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Don’t waste your time fighting or running from God’s purpose for your life.Everything good God has for you will come to you inside purpose. Its a sealed package. There is nothing really good outside of this divine package.

2.The enemy of the great is the good NOT the bad. Doing something good may be the enemy’s plan to keep you from the great. When you copy others the best that you can be is a carbon copy but NEVER the original because you have abandanoed your original. You can be inspired by others but must be defined by your purpose. Others can only take you where they have been but none can take you to where you should be in God because NO EYE HATH SEEN OR HEARD of it. 3.You need God to find fulfillment and purpose. You cant take yourself where God wants for you and others cannot take you there.

1 Corinthians 2:8-9 (KJV) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Surrender to Jesus to begin this life changing journey.

Why not begin to seek God like Paul? Lord, what will you have me do?
Acts 9:6 (KJV) And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
