1 Kings 2:8-10 (KJV) And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword. Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood. So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

One of the realities of life that you need to accept is that life is a battle.You are living on a battle ground.It is not a choice.It is a fact.

Revelation 12:7-8 (KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

There are battles existing before you were born and you inherit them.There are different types of battles.

a.There is the general battle that all men shall fight.

b.There are battles with other men.

c.There are personal battles that we also call internal battles.

d.There are unprovoked battle.These are unsolicited enemies who might be unfriendly friends or direct open adversaries.Psalm 106:16-17 (KJV) They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD. The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

e.There are household battles.

f.There are community battles.

g.There are national battles.

h.There are international battles.

i.There are generational battles.

j.But today I want to speak briefly on inherited battles.

These are battle

Whether or not you are aware of the existence of any of these battles you will be affected.Your ignorance is no excuse.Infact your ignorance will make you a casualty.

2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Solomon inherited battles of David.Every battle that your parent did not confront and conquer are among your inheritance.Some of them knew the battles that they did not win but most of them do not.

As you inherited there DNA,money or property or clothes or other things BE AWARE that you have also inherited their unfinished battles.

It is possible that the battle you inherited was what finished your parents.If you can finish that battle it will not be among the battles that your children will fight.They will still fight their own battles but you will not add to their battles.

I recently watched the Minister of Defence of Israel touring the battle ground in Gaza,Lebanon and Northern border.He said that what the soldiers are doing today is why their children would be able to live and walk in peace in those areas.

Are you aware of your battles?

How do you recognize them:

a.Patterns-an issue that defeats everyone in a family e.g,poverty,specific sicknesses or problems common to most people in a family.

b.Prayer-Revealation.Prayer of enquiry.Lord,why is this problem there or persisting?

c.Prophetic-The gifts of the Holy Spirit.God can reveal the source of the problem through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

SOLUTION:

1.A new creation. Jn 3:3,7

2.Alignment. Total committment and consecration.Psalm 30:10 (KJV) Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

3.Aggressive prayer with fasting.Mt.17:20,21

4.Faith.1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

5.Spiritual warfare

6.Holiness.

7.Spiritual cleansing of your life and environment

8.Revocation and renunciation

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father,thank you for who You are to me.You were born into battle but the Lord has been your preserver.

2.Thank you for making me a new creation.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

3.Father forgive me of all sins in my life that has given the enemy legal grounds in my life

4.Every door that I have opened to the enemy by my actions father shut them by the blood of Jesus Christ.

5.Let the blood of Jesus Christ destroy every legal ground that the enemy has been using against me.

Isaiah 49:24-26 (KJV) Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

6.Inherited battles shall not swallow my life and destiny in the name of Jesus Christ.

7.Father,the battle that finished my parents don’t let it finish me

8.Where my parents failed I shall not fail in Jesus name.

9.Generational failure my life is not your candidate.Be terminated now in Jesus name.

10.Holy Ghost,consume anything connecting me to inherited battles and problems

11.Father,rescue my life from every limit set by inherited battles.

12.Inherited battles waiting for me in the future scatter.

13Jehovah Sabaoth consume and destroy every inherited battle harrassing my life and destiny

14.Father,open my eyes to see every inherited battle hiding in my life

15.Make me and my lineage untouchable for inherited battles in Jesus name

16.Father,restore to me every blessing,virtue,opportunities etc that I have lost as a result of inherited battles.

Isaiah 42:22 (KJV) But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

17.Father,expose and disgrace every inherited battles in my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

18.Let the snare of inherited battles break now in Jesus name.

Psalm 124:7 (KJV) Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

19.Father,give me comprehensive victory over inherited battles in Jesus name.

Psalm 18:37-38 (KJV) I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

20.The hand of inherited battles troubling my life and destiny wither in Jesus name.

21.Father,always give me victory in every battle of life in Jesus name.

1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

22.Let my hand prevail over every adversary in Jesus name.

23.Father,unleash the heavenly host of angels against every inherited battle in my life.

24.I invoke the blood of Jesus Christ against every inherited battle in my life.

25.By the blood of Jesus Christ I silence permanently the roaring of every inherited battles against my life and destiny in Jesus name.

26.Father,disappoint any inherited battle planning to devour my life.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

27.O God arise and disgrace every inherited battle in my life in Jesus name.

Luke 10:19 (KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

28.I receive the power (authority,wisdom,grace,unction) to crush and destroy every inherited battle in my life.

29.I refuse to be a casualty in the battle of life.

30.I root out,pull down,destroy,throw down and smash to ungatherable pieces every inherited battles in my life.

31.Every power that is sponsoring and energising inherited battles in my life be bound in Jesus name.
